Wine Tastings
This tasting is truly unique to each guest’s taste! Let our knowledgeable tasting room ambassadors guide you through an educational wine tasting as you relax in our Texas wine country setting. The tasting begins with an educational description of ten selected wines from our always evolving catalog–half of them dry and half of them sweet. Each guest can choose five wines that match perfectly with their personal palate. Try five dry wines, sweet wines, or explore a mix of both!
Walk-in appointments are welcome, pending availability. This experience lasts approximately 45 minutes, and we ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your reservation time so we can greet you.

Tour & Cellar Tasting
Step behind the scenes at Bernhardt Winery and discover the journey from grape to glass. This 1-hour guided experience takes you through our winemaking facilities, where you’ll explore the equipment used in production and visit our barrel room, where wines rest and mature.
Along the way, your expert guide will share insights into the artistry and science of winemaking, offering a deeper appreciation for the craft that goes into every bottle.
Your tour includes a tasting of two handcrafted wines, giving you the opportunity to savor the flavors and character of our Texas wine country estate.

Fire up your taste buds for a bold and smoky BBQ Wine Pairing Experience featuring our award-winning wines from the 2026 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™ International Wine Competition.
Discover how rich, smoky barbecue flavors pair perfectly with medal-winning Texas wines as you sip through a curated tasting showcasing our HLSR award recipients. From juicy brisket bites to savory BBQ favorites, each pairing is thoughtfully matched to highlight the depth, balance, and character that earned these wines top honors on an international stage.

Port Barrel Diving
This immersive experience begins with a guided cellar tour and a tasting of three award-winning Port wines, perfectly paired with gourmet chocolates.
After the tasting, guests may choose to bottle and purchase their own Port straight from the barrel, stepping into the role of winemaker as you fill, cork, seal, and label your bottle—personally guided by winemaker and owner Jerry Bernhardt.
This experience lasts approximately 1 hour.

Embark on a sensory journey from the rolling vineyards of Bulgaria to the sun-drenched hills of Texas in this one-of-a-kind tasting experience.

Picnic Experiences
Come find a seat to relax on our North Lawn picnic areas or Patio Courtyard with stunning views of Texas Wine Country. We are family and pet friendly!
Our full menu of award-winning handcrafted wine is available for purchase by the bottle and by the glass.
Gourmet cheese and charcuterie boards or hot charcuterie sliders are available to order from our tasting room. You may also bring your own picnic basket or cooler. No outside alcohol allowed per TABC law.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Outdoor lawn seating provides breathtaking panoramic views of the rolling hills and valleys of Grimes County. Picnic tables under our shady native pecan grove provide a serene area for enjoying great wine, food, and music with friends. We are family and pet friendly!
From tours and tastings, customizable private events, Bed & Breakfast stays to acoustic live music, themed festivals, artisan markets, and and lawn concerts on weekends throughout the year, there are a variety of offerings for relaxation and entertainment. See our upcoming events.
Gourmet charcuterie boards and charcuterie sandwich sliders are available to pair with your wine selection. Local food trucks frequent our weekend events. You are welcome to bring your own picnic, no outside alcohol allowed due to TABC law.
PET POLICY
Out of consideration for all of our guests, dog lovers as well as those who are not, we require your four-legged friends to remain outside and on a leash. We also kindly request you follow these guidelines when bringing pets to our winery and vineyard:
- Dogs are to remain on a leash at all times.
- Please help us keep our property beautiful, clean up after your dog. Bags and receptacles are provided.
- Pet owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior - please remain attentive.
- Dogs MUST be up to date on all shots.
- Be mindful of your neighbors, and be courteous.
- Dogs who display any type of aggression are not allowed.
