After a year of construction, the new winery is in full operation and the events room is now completed. Well, after three and a half years, Jerri and I are happy to announce that we are finally ready to open our B&B! We have named it “The Loft” because it is truly a huge loft above the old winery, and secondly because Jerri and I are more afternoon, hors d’oeuvres, sunset wine-toasting folks and would prefer spending quality time with our guests at that time. » more info


2009 On-the-Porch Concert Series | Mid April thru Mid November
Jerri and I dreamed of a place where family and friends can meet and enjoy the beauty of nature and celebrate life. In support of our dream, we have created a Sunday evening sunset celebration we call On-the-Porch. Every Sunday evening beginning an hour before sunset, we have a lawn concert with great music for you to relax with your family and friends. At sunset, we stop the music and raise a toast to life and love! The winery is open for tasting and purchasing wine by the glass or bottle. Bring your lawn chairs and come relax with us. There is a $5.00 per adult cover charge for each of these events. We now have fine cheeses, deli crackers and sausages, along with jams and sauces for snacks. This year, we will have a food vendor on-hand for each of the concerts serving great meals! You are also welcome to bring an ice chest with your favorite snacks. Please note that per TABC, it is illegal for you to bring alcohol onto the property. This year we have a lineup of incredible talent along with a full stock of wonderful wines! Bernhardt Winery 4th Anniversary Celebration Grape Stomp, Sunday July 26th
On Sunday, July 26, we will celebrate our fourth year anniversary with a good old grape stomp. The celebration will include a hay ride through the vines, a grape stomp, lawn games, a Lucy Look-Alike contest, specialty food vendors, and sunset toast and poetry readings. Concluding our evening will be our Sunday “On The Porch” music concert.


Labor Day Grape Stomp, Sunday September 6th
On Sunday, September 6, we will celebrate our fall harvest with another grape stomp. The celebration will include a hay ride through the vines, a grape stomp, lawn games, specialty food vendors, and sunset toast and poetry readings. Concluding our evening will be our Sunday “On The Porch” music concert with Shake Russell and his band!!


We have been busy crushing and taking care of the new wines! We have been very busy this winter making and bottling all of our wines. We have bottled 235 cases of our 2008 Pinot Grigio, 110 cases of Sarah and 22 cases of our rare seasonal wine we call Valentine. We will soon be bottling 125 cases each of our 2008 Schrock and Aggie Blush and 150 cases of our 2007 Merlot. Jerri and I are very proud of this year’s wines and hope you will love them all.


Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail
Growing up and living in the north Houston area, I was always jealous of the Hill Country and all their wineries and wine trail events. As I was learning the commercial aspect of this business and building our winery, I had visions of having a wine trail here in our beautiful part of Texas. Well now we all have one.
