Strawberry, Chocolate and Wine Festival, May 18

New this year, Bernhardt Winery announces their first annual Strawberry, Chocolate and Wine Festival featuring a day of indulgence in strawberries, chocolates, fine arts and wines.
Harvest Event; Saturday, July 6
After eight incredible years of working the vineyard, a real grape harvest will happen at Bernhardt Winery with an estimated harvest of around 3 tons! We will be hosting a harvest festival followed by a catered luncheon. Details soon
Grape Stomp and Bernhardt Winery Anniversary Celebration, July 28
On Sunday, July 28, we will celebrate our seventh year anniversary with a Wine-a-rita celebration! The celebration includes guided tours through the vines hosted by Ron Saikowski, an award winning wine columnist, a grape stomp, lawn games, a Lucy Look-A-Like contest, specialty food vendors, and the traditional sunset toast. Participants will be able to step into the Lucy Look-A-Like grape crush vat and stomp grapes. After crushing grapes you can step onto a T-shirt capturing the moment! Grape crush activities start at 4:00. Children are welcome!
2013 Concert Series, April 14 thru November 17 “rain or shine”
Every Sunday evening beginning an hour before sunset, enjoy a lawn concert with great music and relax with your family and friends. At sunset, we stop the music and raise a toast to life and love! The winery is open for tasting and purchasing wine by the glass or bottle. Bring your lawn chairs and come relax with us. There is a cover charge for adults 18 and over for these events. We have fine cheeses, deli crackers and sausages, along with jams and sauces for snacks. This year, we will have a food vendor on-hand for some of the concerts, check the listings. You are very welcomed to bring your own picnic baskets. Please note that per TABC, it is illegal for you to bring alcohol onto the property. Concerts start at 6:00pm. Cover Charge is typically $10
May 12: Mother’s Day: Rick Schuler
This Mother’s Day we have selected a very special performer. Rick Schuler is an amazing man that brings the songs of John Denver to life. He performs a John Denver tribute that includes stories of how and where John wrote and found the inspirations for his songs. You will laugh and cry and most of all sing-along!! In addition to the remarkable music, we have a special ceremony recognizing all the moms. We will have a gift for the lady that has been a mom the shortest time and a gift for the lady that has been a mom for the longest time. May 19: Gentle Lamb Experience
Finally, we found Motown! Louis Lamb and the band bring back to life Marvin Gay, The Four Tops, The Four Seasons, and all the great Doo Wop music of the 60’s. We have been looking for this type of music since we began our series. You will love this group! Check them out on Youtube.
May 26: Memorial Weekend
We have really pulled out all the stops and invited Ezra Charles and The Texas Bluz Review. This is a rockin’ piano player with an incredible horn section that will provide us with a Las Vegas style show!! In October of 2010 the band won the Regional Finals of a contest organized by the Houston Blues Society, and earned a trip to Memphis in Feb. 2011 as the Houston entry in the International Blues Challenge. Competing against 110 bands from around the world, they advanced as far as the Semi-Final round, winning praise from blues fans and musicians from all over America for their distinctive show and unique sound. June 2: Richard Leigh
This will be a very unique listening experience directly from Nashville. You will hear some of the biggest Country songs in the industry by the man who wrote them! You will hear the story behind the songs and how they sounded the day they were born. To date, Leigh has written 4 songs that have made it into the top 10. For Crystal Gayle, he wrote Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue which rose to Number 1 on both county and pop charts, I’ll Get Over You, and for Reba McIntire he wrote The Greatest Man I Never Knew and for the Dixie Chicks he wrote Cold Day In July. June 9: MilkDrive
We are so proud to host on our stage for the first time this award winning band. This Jazz-grass band features award-winning instrumentalists Brian Beken on fiddle and lead vocals (Jerri and I have known Brian since he was a kid and took his first violin lesson!), Noah Jeffries on guitar and harmony vocals, Dennis Ludiker on mandolin and harmony vocals, and Matt Mefford on double bass. This Austin string band’s exhilarating sound. is fueled by equal parts tradition and innovation. June 16: LevelOne Band
This Father’s Day we have selected a very special performance by LevelOne band. This is another new band for our stage! LevelOne delivers a powerful performance in the style of vintage Aretha Franklin, Motown, Soul, Disco, Classic Rock, Jazz and Pop that has kept them in constant demand with Houston's hottest venues and festivals across the country. This is a full six piece band with two women lead singers that will blow you away! We will recognize all the dada and have a gift for the man that has been a dad the shortest time and a gift for the man that has been a dad for the longest time. June 23: The Sugarland Brass Company
This is a Varity Band consisting of sharp dressed men that will bring you back to the days of yesteryear when the Cotton Club, Peppermint Lounge & The Great Apollo Theater were the hot spots. The three piece horn section will be ringin’to the sweet sounds of Louis Armstrong, Van Morrison, Bobby “Blue Bland”, Ray Charles and The Temptations.
