Happy New Year!
The holidays have come and gone, and can you believe it is almost spring again! Jerri and I sincerely thank all of our wonderful customers for their support and friendship. In the winery, we have been busy finishing and bottling many of our wines including our superb 09 Pinot Grigio. In the vineyard, we’ve begun pruning and making ready for bud-break. On the entertainment scene, we have lined up many of your favorites to return including Shake Russell, The Fab Five, Ezra Charles, Bob Livingston, Kevin Black, Tomas Balesteros, Mike Gallo, and The Texas Bluz Kats. We will be adding some new artists to keep our music series alive and fresh! Our concerts series will begin on Sunday April 18, at 5:30 pm and will continue thru the middle of November! We have posted the beginning line up and will provide updates as we finalize the details.

On Friday, February 5, just in time for Valentine Day, we will be releasing one of our rarest of wines, Valentine. This wine derives its name from the unusual glowing valentine red color. The wine is made from a rare grape varietal that that is very susceptible to poor air quality. It can only grow in the purest of environments and we are very fortunate to have access to a few gallons of this rare nectar. As you raise a glass, you are instantly greeted by the unusual nose of cotton candy. This nose triggers happy memories and relaxes your senses before you indulge your pallet. The cotton candy nose gives way to an initial pallet impression of cinnamon apples melting away to a sweet and tart finish like mom’s cherry pie. This wine is so unusual that I describe it as a happy wine. Our customers that have tried it wait all year for this special time. We only have 100 cases, so don’t be left out!
A Note of Thanks
Wine is such a special elixir that takes us to such wonderful places, teasing out secrets, inspiring imagination, warming the heart and refreshing the soul. Jerri and I have been so fortunate to be enjoying this wine maker’s journey and meeting so many wonderful people along the way. Eight years ago now, our wine induced imaginations were inspired, and we dreamed of making and operating a winery. It is hard to believe that this past July we celebrated our winery’s fourth year anniversary. We want to thank our wonderful customers who have become such part of our lives and of course, our livelihood.

Well, after three and a half years, Jerri and I are happy to announce that we are finally ready to open our B&B! We have named it “The Loft” because it is truly a huge loft above the old winery, and secondly because Jerri and I are more afternoon, hors d’oeuvres, sunset wine-toasting folks and would prefer spending quality time with our guests at that time. » more info

We are now deep into this year’s crush. We have completed fermenting all of our Texas wines and are now fermenting our California and Arkansas fruit
In response to the wonderful support, we have been expanding our facilities doubling our wine making capacity. Our old winery has been transformed into a beautiful events room overlooking our rolling hills. This room will accommodate up to 80 people for your special gathering.
Through out the expansion process, we have not forgotten our mission statement: to provide you, our customers, with quality wines and a fun wine tasting experience in a warm environment. Every aspect of our business is designed to improve our quality and customer service while maintaining our “mom and pop” atmosphere. We hope you will find your way out to the top of our hill and enjoy some fine wines. Perhaps you too might sit and sip under the century old native pecan trees and release your imaginations and refresh your souls.

Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail
Growing up and living in the north Houston area, I was always jealous of the Hill Country and all their wineries and wine trail events. As I was learning the commercial aspect of this business and building our winery, I had visions of having a wine trail here in our beautiful part of Texas. Well now we all have one. Eight local wineries located between Conroe and Brenham have formed the Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail!! Please visit our website at: texasbluebonnetwinetrail.com.
