CELEBRATE 150TH DERBY DAY AT BERNHARDT WINERY!
It’s off to the races at Bernhardt on Saturday, May 4th! Show off your Derby attire and participate in one of our best-dressed competitions!
Guests can enjoy a one-day exclusive ‘Port Julep’ crafted cocktail. The first one hundred guests to arrive will receive a rose from Bernhardt Winery to celebrate the day.
Think your Derby Day outfit is best-in-show? We’ll be hosting three contests: Derby Hats Contest, Ladies’ Best Dressed Contest, and Men’s Best Dressed Contest. Winners will receive a complimentary bottle of Bernhardt wine! Be sure to stick around until 4pm when we’ll judge the contests & announce the winners!
From 12:30-3:30pm, we’ll have some activities perfect for your little ones to join in on the Derby Day fun. Aspiring jockeys (ages 12 & under) can enjoy pony rides and a petting zoo on our grounds for $10! Festive face painting will also be available to all guests for $5.
As if the day couldn’t get any more fun, we’ll have an Artisan Market full of local vendors to browse! Sip & shop local with us!
Guests can relax while taking in the spectacular rolling hillside view on the winery lawn under the shade of century-old native Pecan trees. The grounds will be open for wine flights, wines by the glass, and bottle sales of our award-winning wines. Book one of our Classic Tasting experiences!
Browse handcrafted goods from local artisan vendors on the spacious lawns, then kick back with live music, fresh local eats, and handcrafted wine.
Sip N’ Shop Markets are free for Bernhardt Winery customers, NO RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Table seating is limited and is available first come, first serve only. Visitors are also welcome to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets to find a space on the lawn to listen to live music!
Pair your favorite Bernhardt wine with a gourmet cheese and charcuterie board, available to purchase from the winery. Guests can also choose from a variety of menu selections from local food trucks. Picnics are always welcome, no outside alcohol is allowed to be brought onto the property per TABC law.
